3 nights that are considered to be "Full Moon" each (cycle) month
the day b4
the day of
the day after

Myths and Legends surrounding her lore always include all three nights in her affects.. interesting. a back ache you say? how's your relationships with the women in your life? is there someone who needs you, like a sister or mother? no reason. just asking... :whistling: please let me know if anything comes to mind tonight

Full and orange and glorious!

this color is refered to as a Blood Moon. Has absolutly no signicance what-so-ever other than what it represents to the viewer, of course.. But, it is a most beautiful sight! and that is enough for me...

a good example of what is represents
it represents blood in the field to fertilize plants from animals that either killed each other or were killed for food, etc.

it was never intended as a violent or scarey thing. simply agriculture.

thanks for the pic Tet :splif:

ok i'll bite, how do you connect the two ? i attest it to having had an l4-5 spinal fusion 2 years ago. i always thought it genetic as my grandfather and uncle both had the same exact surgery.

it happens every full moon
no science is behind the thought i have
that it might be associated with a woman in your life because

folk have often associated the Moon to "Woman".
actually just a random thought i had while reading your post
but i do love this interesting conversation
thanks for joining in

sounds like your back pain has nothing to do with the moon

oh, and good luck with your pain. i hope you are and continue to do well...

actually my back pain is worse with the full moon, hurricanes, cold fronts. warm fronts. any major barometric pressure change. weather actually does affect the bones.

have indeed been given mostly female names because they are vessels (<a href='http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vessels'>) (link) that hold precious cargo. Woman was/has been considered to be a vessel because she carries "LIFE" within her.. thanks for pointing that out. it's an interesting little fact. toe_kin2

that the event that created the moon is the very same event that started the earth's spin. i did not know that! gave us night and day and seasons. no wonder all of those things are so mooncentric. that really supports a lot of the mythology surrounding her. would we even have life on earth without that event? a nice surprise. :whistling:

Nope, just watched a show on that subject.

The Moon helps stabilize Earth's rotation.
