My first hermie! Yay!

California Indica x Big Bud is officially a tranny, a great big he-she. One side stalk has BIG old balls along with the pistils that were all that was apparent when I left on Monday. I cut it off, then I took the whole plant into some light, with a flashlight (I need light to see) and found the beginnings of balls on one of the two main colas.

I'll kill it tomorrow, but I'd like to know how I can handle this plant to get something out of it. It's got a lot of buds developing and I'm gonna be out of my ounce (of the good stuff, which netted me a third seed for which I am excited and happy) in a few days, might be able to get it to last me the week. I'd like to know that I've got something coming to me in a few weeks. Do I cure it? If so... is there a tutorial (I haven't looked, I figured I'd cross that bridge when I got there http://www.skunkskool.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif )?

Also, I can't tell how mature the male sacs are, but if they're not yet broken open am I safe from mass pollination? Or is this a lot like the urban myth of pulling out to keep from knocking her up?

I'd clean the male parts off, then proceed with normal trimming of leaves.

can you get it away from the rest and continue to flower it SM? if so do it up...and if the sacs havent opened you are safe...but if they have you are already you know what.

Really? I've received my Super Walmart Portable Closet that I was gonna put my males inside. It's got (or it's supposed to have, I haven't opened it yet) fabric side panels. I haven't killed IT yet (what do you call it? zhe?), but was looking at how some branches are totally dedicated to male bits (twigs & berries)(have you ever seen that Starburst Berries & Cream ad?), and then on the two main colas there are just a FEW, here and there.

It'll take time to clean them off, but my main question is will it do what the male plants did and regrow its gonads? The female parts are developing nicely as well. Maybe I'll actually name this one, Marilyn, for Marilyn Manson. Or some such.

Chances are my whole grow has been impregnated. By a fucking tranny no less. Where's that cheese bongspit offered? It'll go well with my whine.

I built the portable closet. It only has four small holes at the bottom that would need to be taped up, they're the openings for the poles/frame. That's no problem. What's a problem are those open flowers I found. Mother FUCK! COULD I HAVE PICKED A WORSE WEEK TO TAKE OFF??? NEVER AGAIN! God dammit. I'm chastising myself, because I really questioned the wisdom of leaving at this particular juncture in time. fuck fuck fuck!@#)(*&Y^T#@!#%&%*

Ok, I need to know... how long does it take for the male flowers to open and shed their pollen? They weren't there Monday morning, but I'd really like to know what my window was. I found flowers that were falling off the plant, so I'm assuming they were completely mature by the time I got home late Friday afternoon.

I found yet another seed of the Hip Buster (maybe I'll call it something hippie-ish, like Hip Hugger), this stuff I've been smoking that takes away ALL the pain in my hips. God I can't believe how well it works. Almost out, too. Anyway, I've got these three precious little seeds now, and they're quickly becoming like gold to me.

Do not kill hermaphrodite plant, just make a small isolation chamber and place it in the chamber. Why would you waste 200gr of bud? Some hermaphrodite plants tend to yield better than females anyways.

Um.. I don't know. Is it? Is there any way to tell early on how much bud's been impregnated? I'm seeing previously unnoticed structures on both the CIxBB girls, and #1 is getting SO damned fat around her stalks!

I built that portable closet, cut off the plant's mutant ball sacs and put it in there. It had male flowers that were falling off, so I'm assuming it at least pollinated itself, and probably all my other girls. The closet is made of white fabric, and it's supposed to keep clothes dust and mite free, but still be breathable. Then it's got a nice big zipper in the front, it doesn't look like much can get through the zipper. Just the holes at the bottom where the poles go through. When I get it properly supported I'll tape those up.

I should expect a lot of seeds, huh?
