Hothouse's 2nd grow

Im pretty happy with my first run! I am consindering it a success even though I had a good many problems.. With those problem guiding me I have a new setup in mind.. Some of you have seen this already and know exactly what I have planned. I would like any thoughts on ways to improve or just general thoughts..

IM hoping that I can get started in here this coming weekend! Any suggestion or questions in the mean time are very welcome. I plan on testing the room before putting the first seedling in there... So this journal will probably go for a bit without anything but equipment in it.

skunk and email made me feel so welcome that I couldnt possibly leave.. plus my teachers are here!!! I also didnt relize I was in fourm for drama!! lol I thought people where just being neg, I didnt get it.. anyway Im over all that... never was my problem so Im going to stay out of it. I have love for many on both sides, so rather than the middle I will put myself on the outside of that stuff... Im glad to have you along for the ride here! actually it will be all 32 sits on 3 units, so it will be 96 total... I plan on sticking my clones in there as soon as they root... sog I know it will be a lot of work, does anyone think that I may find myself in over my head with all that?? obviously I will not be setting 96 clones at onces... Im thinking if IM lucky I can set 10 every couple of weeks..

for your clones....how many mothers do you plan on having?

if i were you, i'd go ahead and get my mothers established

after that, cut clones (IMHO, i would take smaller clones...so they wont be so big when you drop them in flower)

FYI, i admire you. SOG can be done in any type of system. But the key to SOG is ease of mobile plants. The ability to move, rotate, turn any plant. Potted plants are easier to work in SOG, because of this.

Also, because it is aeroponics....i would recommend you being there quite some time b/c if your sprayer gets clogged or the pump fails....you are SOL and stuck like chuck!

also...keep in mine that aeroponic is one of the fastest growing methods. those rootballs/zones will be fucking gigantic! so you will have to gauge that along with how you want to do your perpetual harvest.... sog can be a bitch if you cant move the plants around @ freewill with ease

and you might as well throw a 4th aeroponics unit in there....you could separate each unit for each 2 weeks of flowering so that you dont have to keep changing your nute soup ratios and such. just whip up a new batch of soup and top off! no need to up the ppms or down

last but not least..... i think you should sell me one of those aeroponic units!

I plan on starting with two mothers.. I will get them well established before taking any cuttings, other than taking some early to sex the plants..

I am thinking of lolipopping all the clones for the single cola effect.. I think that will be the easiest way for me to go..

the rest of what you have said has me a bit concerned, I guess there will still have to be some on the fly design when I get it going.

I support that idea a lot but Ive noticed no real major difference in taste myself but Im sure that youll notice differences in growth rates of the mediums, your aero will be ready to flower in 1/4 of the time that the soil plants will take to get there IMO

granted you have the right strain....

you could set up 2 weeks per your aeroponic units. the 1st unit is your 1-2 weeks, your second unit is your 2-4 weeks, your third unit is 4-6 weeks and your 4th unit is 6-8 weeks


you'll be harvesting every 2 weeks....

Honestly I dont know... Havent done any research on the medeium... was planning on the lil rock wool cube with hydroton rock. but I am open to anything that improves, ease, yeild, or quality!

my father had to, he is on his way now. Im a hour outside of new orleans, but it looks like there may be a mandatory evac here as well.. Ive seen these things turn in the gulf, but every thing is perfect for it to broadside us and its pretty fucking big... I didnt use to be gun shy about these at all.. in fact during andrew when they where evacuating and boarding up windows I was sitting in pat o brians getting shity... long haul since then.....but now after katrina id rather run like a bitch for nothing than go through that shit again... even where I was it was fucking horrible, population doubled over night, couldn't get basic living needs.. power out every where no phone, not even cell... deff no internet... sooo Ill be driving to memphis or ark or something.... maybe austin...... anyway out of fucking louisiana.. me my kick ass dog and my not so kick ass dad...... ah whatever right, prolly just end up fadin off, this after all is a way to high, at damn near 2 am rambling post... cant expect this to make since... going to bed yall peace.......

Well folks, pops didnt last to long!!! Looking at 50-75 mph winds tomorrow am till early evening... that is what worrys me with the trees... dont look like it will be bad at all though.... but the flooding is the worry.
